We love to help raise money for a great cause and what could be better than the terrific St. Mary's Bay View Academy? The only remaining all girls Catholic K - 12 school in Rhode Island, this is the place where learning, living and laughing take center stage. I am shown here with Kristen West, Meg Ware and the talented Director of Alumnae Relations, Lia Del Sesto. We had a record night here and look forward to returning this fall ... with an exclusive Bay View bracelet!
Hasbro Happy Kids Trunk Show ... fun for a great cause!
The Hasbro Children's Hospital in Rhode Island does a super job of helping children live their best lives, and we were honored to create a special Hasbro Happy Kids jewelry design for them which was featured at recent holiday Trunk Shows. Here are Dr. Tom Tracy, Pediatric Chief of Surgery, Cathy Solomon, Chair of Friends of Hasbro, myself and Myra Edens, Chief Nursing Administrator taking a moment in the midst of all the fun. We raised over $2500, which goes towards Visiting Families areas at the hospital. We love Happy Kids and happy parents, too!
FUN IN THE SUN, AND PHOTOS, TOO!
We are always excited to visit our Palm Beach boutique, and it's even more fun when we can spend time with old friends, like Joanne Cutner. Joanne is the publisher of her own brand new magazine, Palm Beach Scene, and the glossy pages are filled with "must read" stories and fun local tidbits. Here I am with Joanne and photographer Jesse Morgan as we choose the perfect spot for a few quick shots, which will be part of an upcoming editorial. Ciao, darling!
Rhode Island's Junior League Rocks!
We love house tours and The Junior League of Rhode Island's Holiday House Tour gave us a great way to browse pretty place and help raise funds for the Junior League.
Here are Kristen West and Meg Ware showing off our latest collection to a host of guests who travelled to Narragansett, RI to see the fabulous homes by the sea.
Shopping, sightseeing and Santa ... a perfect holiday mix!
Style starts early with our girly girls!
We always say that style starts early with our girly girls, so take a peek at a great example! Shown here is the adorable Rebecca Arpano, age 3, from Greenwich, CT. Rebecca and her mom, Courtnay, had fun playing dress up in our Old Greenwich, CT boutique recently and we love the finished look. Pink and green forever ... happy days and fun memories! Have a favorite shot? Send it to us!
We've got the luck of the Irish at Angela Moore!
We love to celebrate at Angela Moore and St. Patrick's Day is no exception! Here's our happy group after a close game of Irish trivia, where the "Celtic Cuties" took the win. Whether we wear Lucky Leprechaun or Live It Up, our Celtic Cuties and Sizzlin' Shamrockers know that the next party is always just around the corner!
Miss Rhode Island is an Angela Moore girl!
We love local success stories and here's a special one to celebrate ... Ashley Bickford, Miss Rhode Island, is a graduate student at Newport's Salve Regina University, where she is on full scholarship, thanks to her pageant winnings. Also a girly girl, Ashley is a big Angela Moore collector and she traveled to the Miss America pageant in style. Her fav's? Raj Revival, Giraffe Baby Pink and Summer in the City. Here's Ashley shown with Gary and our Angela Moore team at her send off party. Go Ashley!
Trick or treat ... it's fun for all!
We love to celebrate and Halloween is one of our all time favorite holidays! So many costume options ... so much fun getting all "tricked out" for the day. At Angela Moore, our whole group gets into the spirit and we have a fun day that includes visits from local day care centers along with friends from nearby offices. Here are a few scary looks from our most recent party ... a perfect opportunity for "Halloween Magic"!
We love golf and golfers love Angela Moore!
What an honor for Newport to host the 2006 USWO this year. Truly a moment in time, made even more special when we were selected to provide the tournament players with this year's official USWO gift. Our choice? A limited edition of our popular 'Golf Girl' bracelet. Happy to say our bracelet was a hit with players and fans alike. Shown here is LPGA star Morgan Pressel, who represents the next generation of stars in golf. She's right on par, both on and off the links!
Doing our thing at Darien!
Spring brings flowers, Mother’s Day….and our traditional Angela Moore trunk show at the popular Darien Sport Shop in Darien, CT. This year we brought our whole collection of jewelry, accessories and home accents, and had a fabulous reception from ladies who love to shop for gifts and treat themselves to a little something. Big hits included our new kitten heels, our Balinese tunics, and our Spring/Summer jewelry collection. With our biggest show ever, these fashionable ladies will be well turned out for spring with choices that reflect a celebration of individual style. I am shown here with the famous “Mr. Z” who keeps everyone on their toes and is a role model for great retailers!
Fun fashion show at Mar A Lago!
It's always exciting to visit our Palm Beach boutique and even more fun when the occasion centers around a special event. This year we helped kick off Palm Beach Fashion Week with a Fashion Show and Luncheon held at Donald Trump's exclusive Mar A Lago resort. Proceeds went to benefit Habitat for Humanity, whose work is so needed in areas where hurricanes and floods have become a part of life. Manuel Canovas resort wear looked terrific with our Angela Moore jewelry and accessories, and of course our loveley models brought the colorful story to life. Here's to fun in the sun for favorite cause!
The Queen Mary 2 Is a showcase for style!
Just back from a fun cruise to Panama on the Queen Mary 2. What a ship! From dining to dancing to spas and romancing, it has everything to make for memorable days and moonlit nights. I had lots of occasions to wear my new Perfect Paisley tunics and pants... so comfy and just perfect for lounging at the spa or lunching on deck. I love the blue worn with Dutch Treat and the turq worn with Mermaid Magic and the turq Carly kitten heel. I wore the white with Raj Revival and Palm Trees Pearl, and finished the look with the Raj sandals. Best of all, my jewelry, sandals and Balinese collection just rolls up and packs into tiny bags, so I can be on the lookout for island treats that are a 'must have' for any holiday!
My pampered pooches are ready for their closeup!
Alfie and Teddie Moore are Cavalier King Charles who love to pose and smile for the camera. At a recent photo shoot, they couldn't wait to get into the act, and of course they stole the show! My Pampered Pooch collection was designed in their honor, because we all love to wear a reminder of our favorite pups. Alfie and Teddie were adopted from The Potter League in Newport, and if you're thinking about adding a puppy or kitty to your family, consider adopting. You'll get 'lovies' galore!
Visiting Venice … it's the home of design inspiration!
I love Venice and have relatives from this area of Italy, so it is a great place to visit to feel the spirit of the past and see how artisans keep that spirit alive. While in Venice, I visit my friends at Carlo Moretti and Laguna B, who produce the most wonderful hand blown glass objects. In our retail boutiques we offer flute champagnes from Carlo Morettiand wonderfulmillefiorre tumblers from Marie Brandolini’s Laguna B collection. Here we are getting ready to toast the season and celebrate design at its finest!
Let's go to Giverny!
Giverny is one of my very favorite places to visit, and I love the way Monet used color in his house and garden. This fall, Gary & I visited during the middle of October, a few weeks before they “put the gardens to bed” for the winter. We were thrilled to find so many flowers still in bloom…giant dahlias in vibrant shades of fuchsia and purple, plus a host of other fabulous garden delights. So inspiring and so special. Here we are at the water lily pond, on a drizzly day that had magic in the air. We toured the house and stopped in at the nearby Hotel Baudy…home to visiting artists during Monet’s day. Also saw Monet’s grave site and lunched at nearby Vernon…all in all a very memorable visit!
